A Whimsical Christmas Gift Guide 2024

Christmas gift ideas for women

I know, I know… it’s not even December yet. But, at the time of writing this, the John Lewis advert has just dropped and, in my humble opinion, you can never be too prepared for Christmas, especially when it comes to gift giving. And since Mariah Carey, the Queen of Christmas herself, has declared that we’re officially in Christmas season, I think it’s time to present our guide to the best Christmas gifts in 2024 for the whimsical at heart. Most of these gift ideas would work for women in their 20’s, the teenagers in your life or even shared between friends.

  • Using a half frame film camera

*I’ve waxed lyrical about Kodak’s half-frame film camera before, so there was no way I could compile a Christmas gift guide and not include it. It’s perfect for beginner film camera users as it’s an affordable way of trying out a new hobby. What with the cost of film rolls and developing them, getting 72 pictures instead of the usual 36 definitely helps, especially when you’re still practising.

A sweet musical biscuit tin from Fortnum & Mason. I especially love their stem ginger biscuits, which this tin includes, and their decorative tins are always repurposed into cute storage boxes for bits and bobs.

This notebook from Liberty (a beautiful department store on London’s Regent Street, and somewhere I could shop endlessly) would make a great stocking filler for the writers or other notetakers in your life. Find a similar one here.

  • Fable bag

This lovely little bag from Fable is a Christmas present to me, and is a lovely whimsical present to give someone. I particularly love this bag because of the deer that features as well as the colours. Fable is one of the few brands where I can easily buy everything they put out,

Ever since I received this bracelet as a present one year, it’s become a frequent wear of mine. While I don’t think Swarovski sell it anymore, I’ve linked another bracelet here which I’d be just as happy to find under my tree here.
